OneHope Wine: Doing Good Tastes Great

If you love good wine, and you have an eye toward social responsibility, OneHope Wines should be on your table. I was introduced to OneHope Wines from a friend on Instagram (thanks, Tosja), and I feel lucky to have tried them and learned more about their community. Since their inception, OneHope has raised over $3 million for the various charitable causes the purchase of their wine supports. From Autism and Cancer research, Pet Adoptions, Environmental preservation, Education, and so many more, the purchase of each individual bottle of OneHope wines means a donation to a worthy charity.

And as much of a commitment as there is to supporting charities, so too is the commitment to producing high quality wines. Combining these two efforts make OneHope wines uber attractive – and they are completely versatile. I sampled two wines: the 2016 Côtes de Provence Rosé, a beautiful French rosé with hints of watermelon, citrus rind, and dried flowers and the 2015 Reserve Napa Cabernet Sauvignon – a wine structured with dark berry and chocolate flavors accompanying a velvety texture. The wines help support Ovarian Cancer research and Children’s ABA Autism therapy, respectively.

With so many great wines and their supported causes, there’s absolutely a wine you’ll want to try and a charity you’ll want to recognize with your purchase. One of the great social aspects of wine of is its ability to start a conversation. With the holidays coming up, I can’t wait to have a few bottles of OneHope on hand for my friends and family to try – and I’m excited to see how it inspires them to grab a bottle or two (for themselves or as gifts) in honor of causes they want to support, especially because doing good really does taste great.
